Pumpkin Party

 

Looking for a family-friendly alternative to Halloween? Come to the 2009 Pumpkin Party and enjoy games, Germantown Fire Trucks, hayrides, face painting, moon bounces, popcorn, drinks, hotdogs, family photo booth and much more! 2009 Pumpkin Party Information
  • Date, Times and Location: The Pumpkin Party is Saturday, October 31 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. All events take place in and around the Faith Building. Click here to view a map of the GBC campus and surrounding areas.
  • Ages: The indoor games and carnival-like atmosphere are designed for children ages 3-12. Outside activities are appropriate for teenagers as well. Parents are expected to supervise their own children at all times.
  • Costumes: Children are encouraged to dress in fun, friendly costumes. (Nothing scary, please.)
  • Admission: One (1) bag of individually wrapped candy. (No gum or hard candy, please.)
 
Volunteer Opportunities

A lot of work goes into making the Pumpkin Party possible. Teen and adult volunteers are needed to serve in the following areas; click here if you’d like to help out!

  • Food Service: Meet Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Faith Building kitchen. Duties include hotdog preparation, popcorn bag filling and drink preparation.
  • Hayride: A couple of guys with tractor-driving experience are needed to assist with the hayride.
  • Games & Activities: Meet Saturday at 4:15 p.m. in the Faith Building. Duties include adult supervision at the moon bounces and climbing wall, and a few other outdoor activities.
  • Greeters & Candy Runners: Greeters ensure that every family is welcomed with a smile, and runners are needed to open donated candy and distribute treats to the games.
  • Teardown: Pumpkin Party ends promptly at 7:30 p.m.; teardown will begin immediately. Please bring work gloves!
  • Candy Donation: Can’t help out this year? Consider dropping off a bag of individually wrapped candy at the ROC Office! (No gum or hard candy, please.)
