On November 1, 2007, HeartLife Professional Soul-Care opened its doors to begin ministering to individuals, couples, and families through professional, Christ-centered counseling. While not a part of GBC, HeartLife will support the ministries and staff of GBC when more in depth counseling is needed. The Board of Directors for HeartLife has called Dr. Chuck Hannaford to be the Executive Director. HeartLife has hired former GBC counselors Steve Riser, LPC, and Brenda Gillman, LPC, as the team of Professionals for the center.

With HeartLife operational, Dr. Josh Creason will continue the process of developing strategic discipleship groups, mentoring, and family focused educational classes while overseeing pastoral counseling at GBC and serving as a liaison between GBC and HeartLife. Dr. Creason will work to develop comprehensive ministry plans for individuals, couples, and families involving the ministries of GBC and the resources of HeartLife Professional Soul-Care.
